"I originally founded Capitol Tattoos in 1985 as Al's Tattoos in Laurel, MD. I completed my apprenticeship under Tattoo Lou in Clearwater, FL in 1978 and worked for Lou's Tattoos for several years before opening my own shop. The shop was relocated to its present location in Silver Spring in 1992. Capitol Tattoo Ink. is backed with 31 years of industry experience. All of our artists have been trained in the art of tattooing and have undergone extensive apprenticeships to achieve their place in this age old profession. We are members of the Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce, The Better Business Bureau, and the Alliance of Professional Tattooists. We are proud to be "Montgomery County's oldest and finest tattoo parlour!"

"I’ve been slinging ink and poking people since 1974. I’m an expert in all styles of tattoos. I’ve traveled the world, leaving my mark wherever I landed. I have dedicated my life to the art of tattooing and take great pride in the work that I do. So, if you are suffering from “lack-of-ink-itis”…come see Doc, I got the cure for what ails you."
"I started working at Capitol Tattoo in March of 2004 at the front counter helping customers choose designs, answering phones and keeping the shop clean. I began my apprenticeship late in 2004, first learning proper sterilization techniques and how to prevent cross contamination. After I mastered those skills, I began to learn the true art of tattooing and the techniques necessary to apply a great tattoo. I've been tattooing for a little under three years now, and love my job. More so, I love the art of tattooing. The people that come in really make it worth while especially when they bring their custom ideas for me to draw up. I also really enjoy the honor of doing someone's first tattoo. I'm always open for new ideas and be sure to know that my biggest concern is that the customer is happy with their new tattoo. Now that I've had a taste of it, I couldn't see myself doing anything else for a profession."
"I’ve always be into ink. My passion for the “art of inking” came at an early age. My 3rd grade class took a field trip to the Museum of History, I saw the ancient tribesmen covered in ink and I promptly went home and carved a armband into my arm with a paper clip. Now I am learning to tattoo from some of the most talented artists breathing and loving every minute of it. Come see me and together, we will snatch the idea out of your head and get it permanently put on your skin."
